There is no “one size fits all” with infant feeding, especially breastfeeding.  Infant feeding is unique to each family and what works for some will not work for others. It is important to identify your personal goals and keep an open mind. It is okay if you do not know what your long term feeding goals are. I will discuss your unique needs, goals, preferences, and history to circumvent potential feeding challenges.

Breastfeeding is not all or nothing. You do not need to exclusively feed your baby at the breast if you do not wish to. You do not need to bottle feed your baby if you do not wish to. My role is to provide you with the information you need in order for you to make an informed choice. You have the right to decide how you want to feed your baby, and you can change your mind at any time. Your goals are my goals and I support you.

Prenatal visits are available both in-home or via telehealth at a competitive price of $150 for a comprehensive 60-minute session. Each consultation includes two weeks of online support through a secure patient portal.

During my prenatal consultation, I will discuss important topics including:

Basic newborn care, latching your baby, feeding in the hospital, breast/nipple care, preventing sore nipples, understanding the difference between colostrum and mature milk, and managing engorgement. We’ll dive deep into newborn feeding expectations, how to know your newborn is feeding well, the efficacy of milk removal, storing milk, and how to maintain a healthy milk production.

As a key part of my prenatal services, I will provide evidence-based resources and information that you can rely on during your postpartum period. I will discuss how to avoid common feeding issues, identify when to seek professional help, explore alternative feeding methods, and help with choosing the best bottles for your baby, among other crucial topics.
